The God Who Speaks to us in the Gospel of John
Saturday 12th December 2020Fr Michael Winstanley, Salesian priest and biblical scholar based at Thornleigh in Bolton, was our final speaker of 2020 in our series of talks looking at how God Speaks to us.
Fr Michael spoke to us on the theme of how God speaks to us in the Gospel of John and emphasised God’s word as both revelatory and creative.
His talk reminded all of the participants of the richness of the symbolism in John’s Gospel through which the evangelist draws us in to the mystery of the Incarnate Word.
After the talk there were opportunities for questions, answers and discussion.
