Praying the Stations through Music

St Winifred's RC Church, Mauldeth Road, Heaton Mersey, SK4 3NB
Friday 11th April 2025
6.30pm

Join us for a unique prayer experience this Lent as we journey through the Stations of the Cross to the accompaniment of a live string quartet.

The Solanus String Quartet is an amateur string quartet made up of clergy and staff from across the Diocese of Salford. Named after Blessed Solanus Casey, an American Capuchin priest remembered for playing the violin with great love, the quartet aims to follow in his footsteps of using music to accompany people in faith and share God’s love for all.

This Lent, the quartet will be accompanying one of the weekly Stations of the Cross at St Winifred’s, Heaton Mersey, to help people reflect on the final hours of Jesus with a range of religious and classical music, spoken reflections, and traditional prayers.

The Stations will begin at 6.30pm on Friday 11th April.
