St Alban’s – Pilgrimage Walk

St Alban's RC Church , Larkhill, Blackburn, Lancs BB1 6HN
Saturday 31st May 2025
2pm - 3pm

A fantastic pilgrimage opportunity has been announced by one of our Jubilee churches, taking place this May.

St Alban’s, in Blackburn, is one of the six designated churches for this Holy Year of Jubilee – a site appointed by Bishop John to be a place of pilgrims in this Holy Year.

To help people embrace this great Jubilee tradition, St Alban’s has announced a pilgrimage walk, taking place on Saturday 31 May.

Running from 2pm until 3pm, there will be a short history of the parish, which dates back to 1773.

Following this, the walk will begin with time to reflect on the CAFOD prayer on hope, charity & faith, and will end with a mini Benediction at the Altar.

Pilgrims are then invited to stay for tea and biscuits and to spend a little time exploring the church and the many pictures and exhibits detailing the long history on display in the side chapel.
