Online Gospel Readings for Lent

During the Lenten period, there will be a series of gospel readings delivered online by various speakers, with the final reading to be given by Bishop John Arnold for Palm Sunday.

The readings will take place on Tuesdays, with specific texts listed below:

Tuesday 24 February with Sr Teresa Brittain

• Second Sunday of Lent (Mar 1): The Transfiguration

 

Tuesday 3 March with Sr Maureen Murphy

• Third Sunday of Lent (Mar 8): The Woman at the Well

 

Tuesday 10 March with Fr Michael Winstanley

• Fourth Sunday of Lent (Mar 15): The Man born Blind

 

Tuesday 17 March with Sr Joan Kerley

• Fifth Sunday of Lent (Mar 22): The raising of Lazarus

 

Tuesday 24 March with Bishop John

• Palm Sunday (Mar 29): The Passion narrative according to Matthew
