Obituary and funeral arrangements for Fr Michael Fleming RIP

Michael was born on 1^st December 1960 and was baptised on 6^th December 1960 at St Dunstan’s, Moston. He was educated at St Joseph’s, Whitefield.

Michael was accepted as an Ecclesiastical student for the Diocese of Salford in September 1989. He attended Campion House, Osterley and in September 1991 transferred to St Cuthbert’s College, Ushaw. Fr Michael Fleming was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood at St Michael’s, Whitefield on 13^th July 1997.

Fr Fleming served the Diocese of Salford in the following appointments:

1997-1998:   St. Mary Magdalene’s, Burnley – Assistant Priest

1998-2000:   St. Margaret Mary’s, New Moston – Assistant Priest

2000-2003:   Chaplain to the Blackburn Hospitals

2003-2010:   St. Joseph’s, Mossley – Parish Priest

2010-2012:   Our Lady of Lourdes and St Gregory, Farnworth – Parish Priest

2012-2017:   Holy Family and Holy Rosary, Oldham – Parish Priest

Fr Fleming’s body will be received into Holy Family church, Oldham for concelebrated Mass at 7.00pm on Wednesday 25^th October.

Bishop John will celebrate the Requiem Mass at Holy Family, Oldham on Thursday 26^th October at 11.00am.
