Heritage Open Days: St John the Baptist church Rochdale

The national Heritage Open Days campaign returns this September, and this year, the stunning church of St John the Baptist in Rochdale will be opening its doors to share its wonderful heritage with new and returning visitors alike.

The Eric Newton (Oppenheimer) mosaic surrounding the high alter depicting Christ the King is dramatic and thought provoking. The church itself is iconic with its large white dome and contains one of the largest pieces of artwork in the North West.

Timings and Tours:

Saturday 7 September:  11.00am – 3.00pm
Sunday 8 September:   11.00am – 3.00pm
Saturday 14 September: 11.00am – 3.00pm
Sunday 15 September:   11.00am – 3.00pm
