Change a life this Lent with Caritas St Joseph’s Penny Appeal

This Lent, the Diocese of Salford invites you to participate in the Caritas St Joseph’s Penny Appeal – a vital initiative that directly supports children and families facing hardships across the community.

What is St Joseph’s Penny?

St Joseph’s penny is an annual appeal organised by our diocesan charity, Caritas Salford, that aims to raise essential funds to provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable children and their families. This campaign ensures that those in need receive the help they deserve offering hope and a brighter future.

In recent years, Caritas has seen a higher demand for its services from families and individuals who are struggling to keep a roof over their head, food on the table, and a safe place to bring up their children.

They need your help to promote a world where the voices of people positively influence the systems, decisions, and resources that affect those most in need.

They have seen the positive effect from those who do get support –

“I can’t tell you how much this means to have support. Things are so hard at the moment and I’m really grateful for everything you do. My boys don’t know where the food comes from, but they know they will be fed.”
