Refugee Week Celebration

We want to pause – with you – and give thanks for the work with and for asylum seekers and refugees in the borough. We expect in a few months to have our first home for destitute asylum seekers and refugees ready to open, and are looking at how we might extend hospitality through a hosting project.
I hope you will come and join us on the 16th June . This project has grown out of the work of churches together in Rochdale, but is very much a partnership with other agencies including the Red Cross, MIND and others.
We are delighted that we will be joined by Bishop John who will be preaching, the Anglican Bishop of Middleton, the Mayor, the Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army, the Chair of the Methodist District. A Covenant will be signed expressing our common commitment to improve the lives of this marginalised group.
Please do bring many from your church, or organisation or family.
There will be refreshments afterwards.
