Homes for Ukraine
Cathedral Centre, 3 Ford Street, Salford, M3 6DPSaturday 3rd February 2024
2pm
The Homes for Ukraine event is taking place at the Cathedral Centre on Saturday 3rd February 2024.
The event, organised by St John of God Hospitaller Services (SJOG) and the Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN), sheds light on the Homes for Ukraine scheme and how you can play a role in supporting those affected by the war.
Nearly two years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the number of those still wishing to evacuate and find refuge in the UK continues to be high. The Homes for Ukraine scheme offers a matching pathway, training and support programme for sponsors and individuals displaced by the war in Ukraine.
The event will give attendees an insight into the scheme, as well as the successes of the project in supporting over 200 Ukrainian refugees since September 2022. It will also inform people about ways to get involved, how communities can be supported in welcoming people from Ukraine to their area, and key considerations to consider before deciding to be a host.
People displaced by the war and their hosts will also share their experiences of the programme.
The event is from 2pm – 3:30pm. If you would like to attend, you can register your interest here.
