Can You Help Us?
Thursday 24th June 2021As part of the Diocese of Salford’s work to establish the Laudato Si centre, we are conducting research to hear the opinions of the local community, and we need your help.
The Laudato Si Centre continues to be an exciting project at Wardley Hall, it aims to make the Diocese of Salford a flagship for effective action on climate change. The centre was announced by Bishop John in 2019 in response to the current climate crisis and Pope Francis’s call for us all to care for our common home in his document Laudato Si, which the centre is named after.

The parishes and schools of the Diocese of Salford were issued with a challenge from Bishop John to take the environmental crisis more seriously, and to make small changes in their own lives that would make a difference. The Bishop didn’t just ask others to make changes; he has responded to his own challenge by beginning this major environmental project in the grounds of his residence.

We are asking if you would like to help us and take part in a focus group to better guide our plans towards the future of the Laudato Si Centre. We are asking this because it is important to understand how we can work together with the local community to respond and educate about the climate crisis.
