1st Sunday of Advent Reflection from Bishop John

During Advent we will have a message from Bishop John each Advent Sunday. The short reflection will help us we begin our Advent journey toward Christmas.

The First Sunday of Advent

We begin a New Year in the life of our Church and we have just four weeks to focus on the enormous truth that “God loves us so much that he sent His Son to be our Saviour” as we prepare for his birth at Christmas. Amid all the rush of buying presents, putting up decorations, and planning parties let us be sure to carve out even a little time each day to remember the real meaning of Christmas. We await His coming.
