A Jubilee of Jubilees

In celebration of the Holy Year of Jubilee, The Vatican has created a calendar of Jubilees to shine a light on different areas of ministry within the Catholic Church.

Here in our diocese, we have followed in the footsteps of the Holy See by creating our own calendar of Jubilees to highlight a range of ministries and services across the Diocese of Salford.

Each month, there will be a number of resources or events to help us celebrate all the fantastic work that is carried out in our parishes, schools, and communities across the diocese, and how we can live out the call to missionary discipleship in all aspects of our day-to-day lives.

Following the lead of The Vatican, we will be beginning our Jubilee of Jubilees with a special focus on communications within the Church and how we can be missionary evangelists of the modern world.

Over the coming weeks, we will take a look at key feasts and Gospel readings to reflect on how these all-familiar texts challenge us to be the evangelists of the modern-world and reveal the hope of our faith to others.

We begin our Jubilee for Communications with the Feast of the Epiphany, as we join Fr Chris Gorton to reflect on how the story of the Magi encourages us to proclaim the hope we find in Christ. Watch now:
