Celebrating 10 Years of Bishop John
Sunday 8th December 2024Today, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of Bishop John’s installation as Bishop of Salford.
To mark the occasion, Diocesan Trustee and Broadcaster Eamonn O’ Neal speaks to Bishop John to look back over the past 10 years of his ministry.
The 10-minute interview reflects on the great number of changes that have taken place in the Diocese over the past decade.
It explores the sense of mission that underpins our work as a Diocese, in addition to celebrating the introduction of the Permanent Diaconate, the incredible impact our growing cultural diversity is having in our parishes and schools, our efforts to become responsible guardians of creation, and more.
Together, Bishop John and Eamonn discuss the important of the Diocesan Synod, the Bishop’s hope to encourage more vocations, and the significance of the prayer, “Stay with us, Lord, on our Journey”.
