Carita’s Celebration of Human Dignity
Sacred Heart Church and Parish Centre, Gorton, Manchester, M18 7WJSunday 26th October 2025
10:30am
Join us for a prayerful experience with the Scared Heart Church as Caritas Salford’s annual Celebration of Human Dignity continues in this Jubilee Year of Hope, focusing on those who work to uphold the dignity of others.
“None of us is alone in this world; each of us is a vital piece of the great mosaic of humanity as a whole”. – St Pope John Paul II
Each year, they aim to align the celebration with the memorial of St Pope John Paul II who championed human dignity and the value and inviolability of human life in his many works, including Evangelium Vitae (1995).
This event is for anyone who wishes to acknowledge, celebrate and uphold human dignity. It will begin at 10:30am with Sunday Mass, celebrated by Bishop John Arnold and includes music from Sacred Heart Choir.
After Mass and a comfort break for refreshments, at 12:15pm, there will be presentations by guest speakers who will share their personal experiences of upholding the dignity of others and what this means for them. The day will also include a chance to network and to enjoy a free community lunch, concluding by 3.00 pm.
Carita’s believe that everyone should have opportunity to participate in all activities and try to be mindful of accessibility needs, including BSL/English interpreters. Please do indicate when you book should you need them to consider anything specific for. For more information, email accessibility@caritassalford.org.uk or you can book your place using this link
